There is a wide variety of photo subjects that require the use of a GND filter (gray gradient filter) required. But not every GND is suitable for every situation.
So wouldn't it be best to always have the right filter when you need it? Ours Graduated filter set gives you exactly that. Because in this set are all common GND filters included that you can use to balance subjects that have one different brightness gradient exhibit.
Photographers choose the respective filter types according to how hard or soft the transition of a horizon line is, or whether only the middle of the picture should be darkened, such as at sunrise or sunset.
The set includes the filters Soft GND, Center GND, Medium GND, Hard GND and Reverse GND– everyone has them strength 8 (3 stops) except for the Soft GND who in the set in the strength 16 (4 stops) is included. This is because the GND 8 is the most popular GND filter that many customers already own.
The medium GND can be used for these motifs:
- Mixed urban motifs (houses with water, bridges and sky)
- Mountain ranges with forest, sky and sun
- Overall, motifs where the horizon line is rather uneven
GND's is used for motifs in which the brightness conditions have a certain progression and therefore require different exposures for an evenly exposed image. Classic place of use MediaGND is, for example, a shot of a city center that has many different elements and brightnesses and is therefore right in between Hard and soft GND must be classified. The Medium GND compensates for such a scenario.

The F:X Pro Graduated Filter Set consists of five filters with different intensities:
- Soft GND16
- center GND8
- Media GND8
- Hard GND8
- Reverse GND8
Exemplary color fidelity with an extremely fine coating
Coated are our ours GND square filter with the Luminance Coating developed by us. As a result, your images will always be pin-sharp, even with cameras with a resolution of 150 megapixels. Our filters are 99.5 percent non-reflecting. This is how you get exemplary color fidelity – and show your subject as it is.
We give our filters longevity with Gorilla Glass. light transmission and color neutrality are further attributes of our filters. But also scratch resistance distinguishes them. At the same time, you can easily clean the glass from dirt thanks to its special coating.
Optical filters should be error-free. Differences in color and texture or permeability must therefore not occur in order to give you the best photographic result. That is why we have combined the strictest specifications for ourselves under the term Engineered And Quality Controlled in Germany. A quality control that takes effect as early as the development phase: Ourser promise of quality to you: As soon as a certain number of samples of a production lot does not meet our own quality criteria, the total volume of the lot will not be accepted. So you can be sure that you always get the best Rollei quality.
